Been going through some old movies lately and they hit a lot differently than I remembered. Just rewatched The Fifth Element and the costumes, the effects, even the weird humor... it’s all still so fun and kind of wild compared to today’s stuff.

What old movies do you go back to when you just want that nostalgia fix? Any that actually feel better now than when you first saw them?

In episode 24 of Dandadan, Vamola’s bodysuit got altered compared to the manga and covered a lot more. Kind of strange since the anime hasn’t shied away from way more explicit stuff. Why do you think they decided to censor this?

Wait, hold up. James Gunn says the Earth-X storyline in Peacemaker S2 wasn’t from the comics at all, but inspired by Man in the High Castle? Does that mean nothing from the original DC stories actually made it in?

Hey all, quick heads-up: 2026 is shaping up to be a weird one for MTG. Seven sets next year, but most are Universes Beyond crossovers: Marvel, TMNT, The Hobbit, Star Trek. Only three are actual MTG worlds.

Lorwyn Eclipse drops Jan 23 to start things off. WotC says it’s a one-off, but… yeah, it’s going to be a lot.

I have this theory about the Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue Version. Don't know if any of you are familiar with MissingNo? Which was a glitch / unofficial pokemon that could multiply items in your inventory. Game Freak, the developers, claimed it was a glitch but I suspect it was trimmed content. There was supposed to be a Pokemon named MissingNo and a side quest to catch it during the post game. But due to deadlines, it was cut from the game. But the devs screwed up and weren't able to entirely remove it from the game. Thus, the MissingNo glitch.

My theory for the upcoming Avengers crossover events is that either the Sentry will be used to help Doom in his plans (viz. the Void will side with Doom or be used by him) OR that role may be possibly be given to Jean Grey/Phoenix (Dark Phoenix). As they are both omega level powers, it makes sense that Doom would use them in his schemes. Or Marvel being Marvel could drop the ball again and do something stupid, as usual.

So, apparently the reason we haven’t gotten Sonic Adventure remakes isn’t money or time… Sonic Team just doesn’t want to do them. Iizuka said they’d rather spend that energy making new games.

SEGA could outsource it, but don’t hold your breath. So it seems like Adventure remakes are dead… for now.

Primate is a slasher with a rabid monkey as the killer. It's gory, tense, and even kind of funny at times. Would you actually watch a horror movie where the main villain is a monkey?

Looks like HBO Max is gonna cost more soon. CEO David Zaslav says it’s “underpriced,” and they’re also planning to go after password sharing. With stuff like The Last of Us and Peacemaker, they’re clearly trying to keep up in the streaming wars.

If you had to recommend one anime that everyone should watch at least once, which would it be and why?

I’ll start with a classic: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The story, characters, and world are all just so well done. What’s your pick?

I'm T.Y. Lee and I'm a huge fan of comic books, manga, and manhwa. I’ve been into comics since I was a kid. Over the years I’ve gotten into a mix of mainstream stuff and indie titles. Also, been getting into many web comics as well lately.

I also recently completed my own graphic novel project, which has been a wild ride. It’s been cool learning firsthand just how much work goes into bringing a story to life. (If anyone’s curious, it’s called Return of the Rooftop Koreans, a 148 page graphic novel, that's now on Kickstarter.)

This has always been a challenge in Wolverine video games, how do you make the game a challenge when the hero can tank just about every assault thrown at him? The Superman game was plagued with this.
Wolverine needing med kits is kind of strange, in the early days of gaming I would understand, arcade style gameplay. Sure. That makes sense...
But now, with a AAA studio that has already made two Spider-Man games... C'mon.
Hopefully this is just some early tests for rigging and character/object interaction an not something built into the gameplay...

Among many things in todays economy, the price of comics has bitten some consumers too hard. The cost to produce these things, of course, drives up the cost to the comic fan who wants to buy that product. So would it be so bad, if comics embraced some of what works for manga, and go black and white on newsprint for a while?

The gameplay trailer for the urban open world adventure game ANANTA has brought in millions of excited anime fans from around the world! More than 10MILLION players have pre-registered for day-1 access to the free-to-play mobile game.

I dunno if this game will work on mobile... It seems like it'll melt the dang phones!

So LA Comic-Con is really doing a paid meet-and-greet with an AI hologram of Stan Lee. Twenty bucks to chat with a digital puppet version of him and take a selfie. Honestly… this just feels weird. Stan deserved better than being turned into some dystopian theme park attraction. Would you guys actually pay for this, or is it crossing a line?

Can’t believe Godzilla vs. Destoroyah is 30 already. That ending still wrecks me every time. I’ve seen the alternate cut with Destoroyah hanging on a bit longer, but I think Toho was right to just let Godzilla have his big moment. Still one of the best send-offs in the whole franchise.
