  • Second Game Crash?

Nintendo, once the company that saved gaming, is now facing backlash for filing patents that could let it claim ownership over common gameplay mechanics, sparking fears it could stifle creativity and harm both major studios and indie developers alike.

  • So… Doctor Who Just Regenerated Into Rose Tyler?

According to writer Robert Shearman, the 15th Doctor’s regeneration into Billie Piper has basically put a full stop on the entire Doctor Who story. That’s a wild way to end things if he’s right. After all these years, do you think this is a fitting way to close the loop or does it feel more like the show’s run out of ideas?

Hey all, quick heads-up: 2026 is shaping up to be a weird one for MTG. Seven sets next year, but most are Universes Beyond crossovers: Marvel, TMNT, The Hobbit, Star Trek. Only three are actual MTG worlds.

Lorwyn Eclipse drops Jan 23 to start things off. WotC says it’s a one-off, but… yeah, it’s going to be a lot.

Seven sets and most of them being crossovers is… a lot. I don’t mind Universes Beyond here and there, but when it starts to outnumber actual MTG worlds, it feels less like Magic and more like a licensing machine.

Lorwyn coming back is cool though. Even if it’s just a one-off I’ll take it!
