    Introduce Yourself

Colman Domingo is Cowardly Lion in Wicked for Good

I keep getting more reasons to watch this film and I have to admit, it is getting really hot. I watched the first film, and it was all about Erivo and Grande, but they have taken the next step and I think Wicked for Good will be a lot better than Wicked, so I understand Oscars bells ringing on this one. I'm still dissatisfied with the rumored sexuality twist between Elphaba and Glinda, it is not in the books, so why bring it into the film? Otherwise the casting seems perfect so far

It seems Clayface will be the beginning of DC Horror as Speak No Evil director is picked

The first James Watkins film I ever watched was Eden Lake. I have to say it wasn't the best of films but it was dark. After Speak no Evil, I have to say he is good at turning a simple story into a horror experience. So Clayface is all about a B-Movie actor that injects hisself with a serum, turning him into the character we know, but with Watkins as the director, we could be totally deviating from the comics and going full-blown Friday The 13th here. Matt Reeves is still overseeing it, so it will have its fair share of realism, but now the DCU will have a horror branch it seems.

Kristen Bell's 12th anniversary celebration sounds more like a death threat

So I have been looking at Kristen Bell wishing her husband a happy 12th anniversay, and boy did she blow it.
This is what she wrote"
Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me:
“I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.”❤️

The post left me wondering what on Earth is happening in that marriage, because this sounds like the script for the next Amber Head V. Johnny Depp saga. Let me hear what you guys think

Disney rejected a Star Wars film set after The Rise of Sky Walker because they didn't see how "Ben Solo" was alive

I'm sorry, but I have to accuse Disney for playing a role in the decline of Star Wars at this point. According to a report on Forbes, the franchise isn't making much profit any more. Then today, I wake up to this news.
Login to view embedded media I mean, isn't overcoming the impossible the whole point of cinema? I'm actually afraid that they will introduce some MCU-like concept, with zero creativity and kill this franchise

Elon Musk's AI creates the best Sci-fi film yet

So Tilly Norwood recently raised eyebrows about how AI Actors could actually replace human actors, but let's face it Norwood isn't exactly the most threatening piece of invetion out there. However, after seeing this series of Sci-Fi film clips created by Elon Musk's AI, Grok, I have a feeling he could easily create Alita: Battle Angel without a single human actor and we probably wouldn't notice. I mean, look at it, all the motion is samless, as if no AI was involved in the creation, yet I'm sure it wasn't fed the best of scripts. Imagine if a full-length film script was fed to this thing?

Return To Cyrodiil.

Okay so I'm gonna open up an old wound.

I wrote an article where I basically concluded that the Oblivion Remaster should have been wake up call for studios and developers in the western RPG genre. I contended that the genre hasn't evolved much since the original release of Oblivion. I received some mixed responses in the comments section but never engaged with anyone back then.

What do you guys think?

Hey everyone It's Kevin. I'm back! I was golfing (or working on a golf course at least).

I predominantly write about video games but movies too from time to time. I love talking about games from my childhood and falling into depression when I think about the current state of things.

Also, I'm back for the season, so expect to see my braindead opinion on BIC throughout the holiday season. 😅

Hope to connect with everyone on this platform for the time I'm around. (y)

Prison Break is getting a spinoff, but it feels a little blunt

Hulu has ordered the project which will be led by Elgin James, set in the Priso Break Universe, but not connected to Wentworth Miller's Michael Scofield or Dominic Purcell's Lincoln Burrows. I don't know, the idea of a spinoff was probably too tempting for them, but there is never going to be a Prison Break without Michael, Lincoln and Sarah for me. Anyway, I hope they have a script good enough to convince us otherwise

Charlie Cox confirms he is not Daredevil in Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Kevin Feige promised more separation between TV and film in the MCU and this seems to be the consequences. So, Spider-Man Brand New Day is set after Daredevil Born Again Season 2, so I thought the storylines would connect a bit. Charlie Cox, who was rumored to be in London, where Brand New Day is filming has however confirmed that he is not in the film. A Daredevil cameo is still possible, but Matt won't be fighting alongside Peter

Friday The 13th Prequel horror series Crystal Lake on A24

Login to view embedded media So the prequel is done filming and I hope it is scary enough to keep the franchise alive. A24 has been punching above their weight lately. I've personally been impressed by Opus and The Legend of Ochi. I'm sure of Jump scares in Crystal Lake because it is being developed by Caleb Kane, the same guy who is producing IT: Welcome To Derry. The show will be released on Peacock, and I'm sure it will be big because of the name, but I hope it lives up to the hype

Michael B Jordan in discussion for the Oscars for Sinners

Ryan Coogler has suggested that Jordan deserves an Oscar for his performance in Sinners. I totally understand him being in the discussion. However, personally, I would go for Coogler himself for best director. I still believe horror films have carried it this year, so I won't be shocked if one wins best picture

Apparently, there is another accident on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day

The source isn't verified yet, but Mark Ruffalo, or probably his stunt double was taken from the set of the film in an ambulance. This comes just weeks after Tom Holland suffered a concussion while filming a stunt on the film. Now I'm wondering whether this is a film set or a war zone. Either way, I hope everyone is safe and the film wraps filming without another disruption

Zootopia got everything right, except the popcorn bucket

So I finally got a hold of the Zoootopia 2 popcorn bucket and I have to say I wasn't impressed. In a world where films become available on digital within weeks of being released, I think people deserve a little more motivation to hit the theatre and, for me, a stunning popcorn bucket is that thing. With films like Dune practically selling out buckets at every theatre, I think Zootopia could have done better here

Gabriel Luna fancies returning as Ghost Rider, but I think he is past it

Login to view embedded media Ghost Rider is one of the characters I want to see after the Reboot which seems inevitable after Secrer Invasion. Gabriel Luna did a great job in the role, but I actually want someone younger to take over the role, or, worst case scenario, Brin Nicolas Cage back. Either way, Ghost Rider in the MCU will be a great addition to the MCU

According to Mark Ruffalo, a solo Hulk movie is not happening

I actually miss a good old-school Hulk, like the one from the 2008 film, but I don't think there is space in the MCU for that, so I'm okay with no more Hulk films, especially if they're going to serve a lame storyline, like they did in the She-Hulk finale. I still want Hulk to stay in the MCU though, but through the young Avengers. I personally don't see the need for Mark Ruffalo in the MCU anymore, I think his run is finished

Tom Ellis should have played Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps

So Tom Ellis has confirmed that he auditioned for the role. Now, I totally understand going with Pedro Pascal, you know, exposure and all. However, Pedro Pascal doesn't seem to have given the role the passion it deserves. In my opinion, Pascal's touch-and-go performance made Mr. Fantastic feel "too plastic,". With the crew set to play a major role in Avengers:Doomsday, I think this was a casting decision that Kevin Feige could end up regretting. I'm not saying the film was guaranteed to be a hit if Tom Ellis was cast, but then, I think he would have brought a warmth and passion that the film lacks. Just look at his performance in Lucifer for example

The cast for Visionquest is out

Been looking forward to this for some time, mostly because I wanted to know what Marvel has in store for Wanda. Paul Bettany is a given in this one. The one thing I'm hoping for is James Spader becoming the face of Ultron. I also hoped toʻsee more of the Young Avengers on this show. However, the cast looks more conservative than interesting, which is fine I think

Are these the scariest horror films of all time,

Login to view embedded media Been looking at this list of the scariest films according to a science experiment. I gotta say, source isn't the most trustworthy but they have a point. I could personally make a case for Sinister. However, those skeletons in the final scene have never left my head so I gotta say The Conjuring is the scariest film here.

Is there a world in which Rickmond Dunbar thought he could win this

I actually feel sorry for Disney at this point because this was never supposed to end up in court. In all honesty, Dunbar wasn't exactly pulling down any apples with that performance in 9-1-1, so his time on the show had to come to an end one way or another. My issue with his lawsuit is that it is petty to say the least, I mean, who didn't know the rules. Besides, it sounds like he violated his alleged religious beliefs a thousand times over before Disney finished the job.

About this Tilly Norwood noise, when did we as humans ask for an AI actress

I think the level of marketing that the creators of Tilly Norwood have done is baffling,vI mean, after watching her video, I can honestly say I have seen better AI videos than her on tik tok. I therefore don't understand how she is still making the headlines. I think AI can't be copyrighted, which means anyone with the tools can create their own Tilly Norwood. Either way, I still don't understand where the pressure to replace human actors with AI is coming from

Taylor Sheridan 's FAST better live up to the hype

So Taylor Sheridan is picking up more stars for this WB feature film. I don't know much about it apart from the fact that Brando Sklenar is in the lead role and that it follows a conflict between the DEA and the CIA. It still looks like it is set I the Country, and after what they did with 1923, I think they could pull off another perfect Neo-Western, but it better be good because if he blows it, his future with Paramount could be finished

Female villain to appear in Spider-Man Brand New Day

Now, some people are saying it is Black Cat, while others suggest Shathra, but I don't think it matters at this point, it is just awesome that the MCU is actually doing something new in a major film. Honestly, after looking at the Doomsday line up, I thought the female representation was appalling. The idea of a female big bad has renewed my interest in the film, but I still hope they don't mess up the writing and turn the film into another DEI sham

After watching the trailer, I'm even more excited about The Pendragon Cycle: The Rise Of Merlin

So it seems we will be alternating between the dust and blood of Roman gladiatoral arenas and the grassy hillside of Camelot in this one. My biggest attraction here is the attention to detail though. The show seems to have captured the tiny details that make Arthurian legends feel realistic
