According to Mark Ruffalo, a solo Hulk movie is not happening

I actually miss a good old-school Hulk, like the one from the 2008 film, but I don't think there is space in the MCU for that, so I'm okay with no more Hulk films, especially if they're going to serve a lame storyline, like they did in the She-Hulk finale. I still want Hulk to stay in the MCU though, but through the young Avengers. I personally don't see the need for Mark Ruffalo in the MCU anymore, I think his run is finished

Yeah, I don’t think a solo Hulk movie makes sense anymore and honestly, Ruffalo’s take on the character doesn’t feel like it could carry a full film at this point anyway. The 2008-style rage-Hulk lane is gone, and the “Professor Hulk” version just isn’t built for a lead role. He's absolutely slotted in as more of a supporting role now

And Thank God for that. A solo Hulk film with Mark as the lead will ruin the Hulk for future generations of fans and filmmakers. Between his inability to put down his activist persona and just be an entertainer for a multitude of people including those he would disagree with politically and socially, you also have the fact that the current employees at Marvel Studios just don’t have it in them to tell a Hulk story that HAS to have the important emotional and almost very comic book like quality that is needed in a Hulk film. They failed miserably with She-Hulk, which out of all the Disney plus shows should have been the EASIEST to create.

It’s too late now anyway. Ruffalo’s highlights as Hulk were his moments in Ragnarok and Endgame. It feels like they’ll come back around to Red Hulk, but the MCU Hulks are past the point of carrying a film either because the actors are too old or their writing has become stale
