Everyone paints Superman’s villains as one-note evil, but characters like Zod, Bizarro, and even Brainiac think they’re doing the right thing, just in completely different ways.

Which Superman villain do you think gets misunderstood the most?

Dang, that's a REALLY good question.

For my part, I'd probably chance to say...Hmmm...my votes would be for:

Either Bizarro - people think he's just 'evil dumb Superman who talks funny', but he's more tragic; a scared child who wants nothing more than to be his hero, but can't UNDERSTAND how to do it

Or Superboy Prime - Yes, he is a super bratty, immature, murderous piss-baby, but a lot of people have taken to just writing him off as ONLY that. They forget that he's tragic in the same stripe as Bizarro; he grew up reading the same Superman comics we did, but he was supposed to BE Superman when he grew up. Once he learned that it takes more than just 'being born with it', I love how his entire rage and rampages are just derived from the fact that HE can't accept that HE sucks, because he knows he's not living up to the Superman name.

God, I love Superman.

I’d argue Zod is probably the most misunderstood. So often he’s reduced to just “the evil general,” but his actions come from a place of intense loyalty to Krypton and its people. He genuinely believes he’s doing what’s right even if his methods are extreme. It’s that sense of duty twisted into obsession that makes him more complex than I think most people give him credit for
