Should Peter Dinklage have stayed away from the Poker Face saga?

So, in case you haven't heard, Peacock cancelled Poker Face after just two seasons. However, the creators, Natasha Lyonne and Rian Johnson, won't let the show die, so they are shopping it around to try and find it a new home for another 2 seasons. Now, lI'm not saying the show is trash, but then, last time li checked, canceled shows rarely hit new highs, even on a new platform.
Now, the problem is that thateter Dinklage signed up for the show just before its cancellation. He was to pllay lChlarles Cale, Natasha Lyonnel's previous role, but now he has become the face of the saga. Dinklage is a legendary actor, to me, no one else pulls off what he did with Tyrion Lannister in GOT, and I'm sure he can now name his price for any show or film. My question now is, why on earth did he sign up for Poker Face? And was it really worth it?

Honestly, the cancelation didn’t surprise me, but Dinklage joining right before everything fell apart definitely did. He’s at a point in his career where he can be super selective, so it’s kind of strange to see him attach himself to a show that already felt like it was losing steam. Maybe the role really hooked him or maybe the behind-the-scenes pitch sounded way more promising than what we ended up seeing?
