Rainn Wilson believes Justin Baldoni was "set up," in the Blake Lively saga

The Office's Rainn Wilson expressed support for Baldoni in texts, praising him for not apologizing quickly and encouraging him to do a story about the whole thing. I personally feel sorry for Baldoni because Lively and Reynolds are Hollywood's darlings and he just didn't stand a chance in this battle.
Also, being sidelined from the premiere of your own film while someone else uses it to market themselves and make money is so hurtful. Now, I don't know the extent of Baldoni's involvement in Lively's alleged harrassment, but I think Lively and Reynolds totally milked the fallout for all it was worth.

Yeah, it’s a rough situation. It’s hard not to feel bad for Baldoni when he basically got sidelined from his own movie, especially going up against two people as universally loved (at the time) as Lively and Reynolds. We still don’t know the full story and I'm not sure we ever will, but the way the whole thing got used for promo definitely made everything messier

Absolutely. However powerful Reynolds and Lively are in Hollywood, this was no way to treat anyone. They literally kicked him off the red carpet in New York, blocked him from the premiere in London and then used these stages to matket their brands, yet it was his film.
