Disney scored a major win this week by getting Kimmel back on the air. They can afford to take a loss on Zombies.

Disney dropped the ball in my opinion with the entire What if series. If they had been smart they could’ve used the series as a direct “focus group” by including new characters and plot lines to see what people liked and could then introduce those things into the live action films. I’m a huge fan of the comics. Even though, like arguably all horror movie series, the first one was the best and they’ve gotten steadily worse in each follow up. But I’ll still give this show a watch even though I have no idea why it’s starring D-list MCU characters.

People don't care about the MCU anymore, people DEFINITELY haven't cared about zombies for a decade, people have been less invested in MCU shows and What If basically had a "you really don't have to watch this" sticker on it.. what made them think anyone would care about this? They know the only reason any of us had even a passing curiosity for this show was because of Blade, which is why promotional material is basically marketing this as "Blade vs Zombies". Man, Disney really did quite a lot of damage to themselves in last few years, huh? I actively enjoyed Skeleton Crew, and yet I haven't met a single other person who's seen it lol.

The What If zombies episode was trash anyway. I expected them to retain their intellect and powers like in the comics, making them an even more terrifying threat. But they were just your average run of the mill, mindless moaning morons.
