According to Dwayne Johnson, Jumanji 4 will be the last film in the franchise. I actually feel this decision is two films late. Jumanji 3 was already a patchwork with jokes that didn't land and a story that struggled to fit into the rest of the franchise. Jumanji 4 now feels more like a money minting project rather than a fun film, squeezing the state of California into funding 35% of an overbloated budget for a franchise way past its sell-by date. I guess I'll still watch the film out of curiosity, but I'm not expecting much.
