Is the Anime revolution here?

Zootopia 2 has earned $1.7 billion globally. No live-action project in 2025 came even close to that. Is this the future of the industry? I actually think animated films will still dominate 2026 seeing as every major studio has cut budgets for live-action projects.

Wow that's insane. I'm sure justified though, I haven't seen the sequel yet, but I just recently saw the first and it was great.

I think your theory about animated films dominating might be right. Especially in the age of AI, seems like an easy way for studios to lean on AI for as much of a project as they can and keep costs down. We shall see

I have no idea if that theory is true, but I'm just hopping in to say I love Zootopia. Such great movies, I feel like there was a stretch of time when animated films just were not hitting, but those movies really remind me of all the movies I love when I was a kid
