  • Second Game Crash?

Nintendo, once the company that saved gaming, is now facing backlash for filing patents that could let it claim ownership over common gameplay mechanics, sparking fears it could stifle creativity and harm both major studios and indie developers alike.

  • So… Doctor Who Just Regenerated Into Rose Tyler?

According to writer Robert Shearman, the 15th Doctor’s regeneration into Billie Piper has basically put a full stop on the entire Doctor Who story. That’s a wild way to end things if he’s right. After all these years, do you think this is a fitting way to close the loop or does it feel more like the show’s run out of ideas?

Is Fallout now a better TV show than The Last of US?

There is a huge battle for the best TV show based on a video game here and I think Fallout is winning.
Fallout Season 2 is set to release in Dec on Prime Video, and now I'm looking at Walton Goggins' partnership with Ella Purnell and thinking it is way better than what Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay have in the last two seasons of The Last Of Us. My biggest concern with The Last of Us is that the creators ran out of content and chose to go political, and the moment the whole thing went woke and all of a sudden, Ramsay was someone's dad, they lost half the nation.
Fallout, on the other hand, is pure class. I don't feel the pressure to lean anywhere politically when watching, and the story is so captivating that I still look forward to the adventure, even though I know what is going to happen.

I get the impulse to call it for Fallout, Goggins and Purnell carry that show hard, and it still feels fresh because it isn’t boxed into one game’s plot like TLOU is. TLOU kind of burned through its best material early and then lost people with the direction shift.

Personally, I love Fallout and think it's the better of the 2, but I couldn't tell you if it's critically better. Just the one I would choose if I had to.

I didn't think this this was up for debate.

Pascal was horrible casting to begin with and I'm not gonna dump on Bella Ramsey anymore. Anyone with object permanence knew what direction the show was gonna take. It was Druckman's chance to retell the story in his own special way. To not mention the second season...

Fallout is telling an original story and mostly respecting the universe in which it takes place. TBH I don't even like it very much, but I would pick Fallout over TLOS any day.
