Horror film about jesus makes jesus look creepy but shockingly interesting

The trailer for The Carpenter's son dropped a feq weeks back but I didn't have a look until today and I have to say, I never know I would be scared by a Jesus movie in my lifetime. Nicolas Cage is seamless as The Capenter, doing all the narration which is great. However, the Jesus vs The Devil part is all twisted beyond anything I've ever heard. Jesus actually looks creepy and kinda scary too.
Now, if you are sensing mixed feelings from my analysis, then that is exactly what the creators want with this one. Everything in the film feels twisted, although it makes a lot of swnse if you look at bible stories from a different perspective. Either way, I can't wait to see what the popcorn bucket for this one looks like because it is a must-watch for me

Yeah, the trailer’s unsettling, but in the best way. It feels like they’re leaning into the psychological side of faith instead of the traditional reverence. Cage as the narrator was an unexpected choice, but it definitely fits that eerie vibe perfectly

Absolutely, didn't hurt anyone's feelings it seems. I loved the authenticity of theìr period setting too
