  • So… Doctor Who Just Regenerated Into Rose Tyler?

According to writer Robert Shearman, the 15th Doctor’s regeneration into Billie Piper has basically put a full stop on the entire Doctor Who story. That’s a wild way to end things if he’s right. After all these years, do you think this is a fitting way to close the loop or does it feel more like the show’s run out of ideas?

Disney rejected a Star Wars film set after The Rise of Sky Walker because they didn't see how "Ben Solo" was alive

I'm sorry, but I have to accuse Disney for playing a role in the decline of Star Wars at this point. According to a report on Forbes, the franchise isn't making much profit any more. Then today, I wake up to this news.
I mean, isn't overcoming the impossible the whole point of cinema? I'm actually afraid that they will introduce some MCU-like concept, with zero creativity and kill this franchise

Agree a fresh start might not be the worst thing. The last few movies were all over the place, so maybe trying to resurrect Ben and stitch it back together would just drag the same mess forward.

Would the Soderbergh movie have been cool? Probably. But I can also see the argument for wiping the slate and not digging deeper into a timeline that never really landed in the first place.
