Disney to Increase Content Spending by $1 Billion Next Year
The company says it expects to spend $24 billion in content in fiscal 2026, an increase from $23 billion in 2025.

After David Ellison announced an extra $1.5 billion for Paramount to spend on content, Disney has followed suit, increasing their budget for content from $23 billion to $24 billion for the next year.
While the enthusiasm is there, Disney isn't really investing more in the content that fans want to see. The majority of the boost is going to ESPN Sports.
Original content for ABC, Hulu, and Disney+ has been mentioned in passing, but they are not the priority, so don't expect an increase in the number of MCU films any time soon! For some reason, I really can't feel the impact of the $1 billion on content though!
