Christy: Sydney Sweeney gives the bravest reaction yet to her movie flopping

I haven't watched the movie personally, but I have seen some of the reviews and they are absolutely scathing. Most people allude to a lack of passion and zero connection between the film's display and real-world boxing. The film has already recored worrying numbers, opening to an average $600 per theatre domestically with just $1.3 million across 2000 theatres.
When asked about it, Sweeney said, “If Christy gave even one woman the courage to take her first step toward safety, then we will have succeeded. so yes I'm proud. Why? Because we don't always just make art for numbers, we make it for impact. and Christy has been the most impactful project of my life”

Yeah, I haven’t seen the movie either, but I did watch a documentary about Christy and her story is honestly wild. I can see why it was made into a movie even if it didn't land, the real story behind it is definitely worth telling.
