Introduce YourselfNintendo, once the company that saved gaming, is now facing backlash for filing patents that could let it claim ownership over common gameplay mechanics, sparking fears it could stifle creativity and harm both major studios and indie developers alike.
View threadAccording to writer Robert Shearman, the 15th Doctor’s regeneration into Billie Piper has basically put a full stop on the entire Doctor Who story. That’s a wild way to end things if he’s right. After all these years, do you think this is a fitting way to close the loop or does it feel more like the show’s run out of ideas?
View ThreadI used to follow the entire TNG cast on twitter until 2016. When Trump won they all turned into raving psychotics (especially Marina Sirtis) and I had to unfollow them all.It also hurts that many actors on the shows have turned out to be regressive lunatics
That's mainly what I meant by so many of them turning out to be regressive lunatics. I'm still having a hard time separating the art from the artists after nine years.I used to follow the entire TNG cast on twitter until 2016. When Trump won they all turned into raving psychotics (especially Marina Sirtis) and I had to unfollow them all.
ABSOLUTELY this... 100 percent spot on. Modern Trek which I call the DisgraceryVerse has no lasting writing or quality to it. It has nothing to do with the Star Trek vision, puts the politics over any semblance of story. It's Science Fantasy, not Science Based fiction. All fluff and nonsensical in every way. Voyager had its problems, but it stayed TRUE to formula. NuTrek has no understanding of the real legacy of TruTrek. The "lack of magic" doesn't have a thing to do with shorter seasons. It's all because of woke politics infecting entertainment and people who don't understand or care what Star Trek was always about. It also hurts that many actors on the shows have turned out to be regressive lunatics, with Tim Russ being the latest by disparaging Charlie Kirk's death in a sociopathic media post.
We've seen this exact same thing happen with too many other franchises. "Modern creatives" or woke execs pick something with an in-built fandom, try and shove their own version of it that betrays everything the original was about onto fans, and then attack them when audiences tune out. It's not hard to understand if you don't live in a regressive bubble like Braga does.

So you dislike the new Star Trek series. Too woke for you is it? Does not woke hook you enough? Never mind. Stick just to maga thinking!Star Trek now lacks character and, or thematically driven stories. Everyone has a favorite character who's typically human: Troi, Picar, Sisko, Chacote (sp?), and a non-human character: Spock, Data, Seven, or Odd. The stories revolve around well developed interesting characters. "The Shield,""The Closer," and "Rescue Me" (to name a few) have proven 18 episode seasons are long enough to hook people. These also remove the strange necessity for filler episodes (usually Christmas or non-continuity). Lastly, access is important. Why would I subscribe to Paramount+ for one or two shows. It's not worth it.
You're making assumptions about my perspective. Reread my comment and get back to me.So you dislike the new Star Trek series. Too woke for you is it? Does not woke hook you enough? Never mind. Stick just to maga thinking!
