  • Second Game Crash?

Nintendo, once the company that saved gaming, is now facing backlash for filing patents that could let it claim ownership over common gameplay mechanics, sparking fears it could stifle creativity and harm both major studios and indie developers alike.

  • So… Doctor Who Just Regenerated Into Rose Tyler?

According to writer Robert Shearman, the 15th Doctor’s regeneration into Billie Piper has basically put a full stop on the entire Doctor Who story. That’s a wild way to end things if he’s right. After all these years, do you think this is a fitting way to close the loop or does it feel more like the show’s run out of ideas?

Tom Ellis should have played Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps

So Tom Ellis has confirmed that he auditioned for the role. Now, I totally understand going with Pedro Pascal, you know, exposure and all. However, Pedro Pascal doesn't seem to have given the role the passion it deserves. In my opinion, Pascal's touch-and-go performance made Mr. Fantastic feel "too plastic,". With the crew set to play a major role in Avengers:Doomsday, I think this was a casting decision that Kevin Feige could end up regretting. I'm not saying the film was guaranteed to be a hit if Tom Ellis was cast, but then, I think he would have brought a warmth and passion that the film lacks. Just look at his performance in Lucifer for example

Yeah, Pascal is kind of the go-to “big name” casting choice for everything right now, it's insane how many projects he's associated with recently. But that definitely doesn’t automatically mean he’s the right fit. His Reed really does feel like he’s just clocking in, whereas someone like Tom Ellis probably would’ve treated the character like a real person and not just another gig. But unfortunately we'll never know
