Thoughts on WB board rejecting Paramount's hostile takeover bid!

I have a feeling that Zaslav really hates Ellison and the Paramount crew, but I may be wrong. Either way, Netflix seems to have won the race for WB. There seems to be a natural chemistry here, so I'm not worried for the industry. I believe a three-way battle between Paramount, Netflix, and Disney is a better outcome for all parties involved.

Yeah, this feels less like drama and more like WB just not wanting to rush into a bad deal. Turning down Paramount buys them time, plain and simple. Netflix might look like the obvious option on paper, but that comes with its own headaches too.

At this point, it feels like WB is just weighing which compromise hurts the least, because none of these outcomes are perfect.

Actually, it feels like Zaslav and the board are just not into the Paramount Skydance option, no matter the amount of money involved. $108 billion is not the type of money you turn down on a whim. I actually feel for Paramount a little bit at this point. You can see their defense of the bid here:
