So Fantastic Four: First Steps got a whole new score at the last minute!

Michael Giacchino has told Deadline that there is a whole other version of F4: First Steps that fans will probably never see. Apparently, he saw the final cut and decided to write a whole new score for it despite having made another one when filming began. I personally have no problem with the score, I think the music was serviceable. What failed F4: First Steps is the script. Every character feels cartoonish with mixed-up qualities rather than the MCU's traditionally meticulously written characters. The story also seems to have been written for Dr. Doom and not with the fans in mind. The film really has nothing uniquely special that would make a fan remember it an hour after watching in my opinion!

Yeah, I felt the same way. The score wasn’t the issue at all, it actually worked fine. The problem was the script. None of the characters felt grounded, and it all just kind of blurred together. It’s a shame because there was a lot of potential there and I really really wanted the movie to be good
