Should Avatar end with Fire and Ash?

James Cameron is a legendary creator because there is no other way to describe his success with the Avatar franchise. He now says he is ready to pull the plug on the franchise if the film flops. I'm certain the film will make lots of money as it is riding on nostalgia too. However, great producers generally stand by their work whether they are doing well or not. I think, if he has the story for at least one final Avatar film, he should totally go for it.

I really feel like he missed the boat with this one. There was just too much of a gap between the first and second movies that any interest (at least in my opinion) was long gone. I would be happy if these movies perform well, but I can't honestly say that I have any nostalgia or loyalty to the franchise

Avatar has actually developed one of the most loyal fan bases to a franchise in the world. The first two films still hold an unbeaten record. Unfortunately, Fire and Ash just isn't there yet. I think he should give it a significant break and come up with a better script for the next film.
