Letterboxd might soon become your go-to streaming service!

Letterboxd is launching its own film rental service that will allow members to watch their favorite films, especially the ones not being offered on streaming services.
This is what their post says "
At Letterboxd, our biggest mission is film discovery—but discovery is only half the battle. It’s frustrating to add a movie to your watchlist and then realize you can’t actually watch it! That’s why we’re trying something new and opening the doors to the Letterboxd Video Store, our own curated rental spot."

This is an opportunity to avoid high subscription costs and simply watch the film you want, and for fans of classic films, I think this will be the ideal video store especially when looking for season-themed classics. Availability and pricing might change depending on the member's location, of course, but I think most underrated 80s and 90s classics will now be available.

This feels like a really smart move from Letterboxd. So many movies end up on my watchlist with nowhere to actually watch them, so having a built-in rental option fixes a real problem.

If they really load it up with all the hard-to-find classics and older stuff, this could be way more useful than juggling a bunch of subscriptions. Curious to see how pricing and availability shake out, but this seems like it could potentially be a really solid option
