Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Idina Menzel set to receive $60 million each for Frozen 3&4!

Frozen is Disney's most valuable animated franchise, with the first two films jointly grossing $2.7 billion. Anna, Elsa, and Olaf are still the pillars of the film, and with Frozen 3 alone expected to bring in nearly $2 billion, I totally understand the premium packages the trio is receiving. However, $60 million for an animated film is unprecedented, I mean, that is practically half the budget of a feature-length live-action film!
With such payouts, I won't be surprised if Frozen 3 becomes the most expensive animated series ever made. And, as usual, Disney will make up for any shortage by bumping Disney+ prices.

Yeah, the numbers are crazy but totally on-brand for Disney. Frozen is one of the last guaranteed mega-hits they have, so they’re going to pay whatever it takes to keep their characters locked in.

And if they can't come up with the money, I'm sure they’ll just nudge Disney+ prices higher and pretend it’s for “platform improvements” 😂

I think a Disney+ price hike is now a regular annual trend, it will happen whether films do well or not. My other concern here is that actors of other popular animated films films will start asking for bigger paydays to match this one, forcing a trickle-down effect that will cause ticket price hikes

Definitely possible. I'm curious to see how well that would work though. Although there are many other popular animated films of course, many don't even touch the popularity of Frozen, so I'm unsure if this example could be used to justify bigger paydays for others. Frozen just really feels like it's in a league of its own

I agree Frozen is up there, but then if Disney can pay $60 million for Frozen, then nothing stops Inside Out, Moana, Zootopia, Lion King and all the rest of them from asking for more money.

Completely agree. At last, in my mind, Inside Out, Moana, etc, are just about as popular as Frozen (or at least I enjoy them just as much!)
I would personally say Frozen is way ahead of the rest in terms of popularity, but when it comes to fun, I would pick The Lion King any day. Inside Out also enjoys a massive following, so if Frozen becomes the new baseline for Disney's pay scale for anime voice actors, then I can see all these franchises becoming extremely expensive
