Is console gaming coming to an end?!

1000501103.jpg
Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take Two has raised an important issue in an interview with CNBC. He said that the future of gaming is on PC which has left me wondering, are consoles unsustainable?
The price of consoles has kept rising, with the demand for better hardware pushing old consoles out of favor before users get value for their money. Besides, having the best console doesn't exactly mean access to all the best games, unlike on PC where options are almost unlimited. So, could consoles be out of the market soon?

Hard to say. But...

> Playstation is killing itself as a brand.
> XBox is basically in a funeral for itself right now, Microsoft has already thrown the towel.
> Valve might be taking XBox's place.
> Nintendo is still strong and the Switch 2 seems en route to outperform the Playstation 2 from what the sales numbers tell.

You are right, PlayStation and Nintendo are still up there in terms of sales, but they haven't done their brands much good recently. I think better PC gaming hardware is a real threat to consoles now.
