Disney Will Bring Dynamic Pricing Similar To Airline Model To Domestic Theme Parks, Says CFO
Disney will bring dynamic pricing similar to the model used by airlines to its domestic theme parks as the company looks to boost incremental revenue.
As everyone waits for Disney to open the Avengers Infinity Defense, this news is bound to impress lots ofvAmericans who couldn't otherwise afford Disney tickets. So Disney will adopt dynamic pricing, charging less in low season and higher in high season just like airlines.
However, this raises some major concerns, main one being that some people might be priced out of tickets because Disney will obviously milk the high season for every penny they can squeeze out of people.
With charges increasing for customized guided tours and other premium in-park services that are being introduced, I'm also worried that middle-class buyers (Disneyland's couch class) will have a terrible experience as the company tries to get them to buy pricier packages. We've seen it with Airlines already so why will it be any different here.
