Hello, I'm from Indonesia. I'm came here when I found out that you guys have forum for chatting. I'm from Surabaya to be precise (Quite the big city but country's economy is currently spiraling down because of current government). I'm currently in final period of college, finishing thesis (I'm hoping to graduate as quickly as possible).
In my spare time, I usually play games in my PC, write short stories (I'm kinda rusty nowadays compared to back then so getting an idea of how to make the story keep going till the end or opening the story, is hard). Sometimes, I wrote some game reviews in Blog (I will be honest, some games are difficult for me to explain either because of flaws that I can't explain but it's there, plot so complicated, I had no idea what is going on, or....mechanic so confusing that I had to take my brain to get used to the complicated mechanic... I'm looking at ye, Tsugunai: Atonement or Planet Laika) even though I got stuck in the middle of writing because I'm still thinking of a better word to describe or explain about the game.
A year ago, I started fan subtitling project on Korean mecha series (This fansubbing project can be for any language outside of English. Current progress: Hello Carbot up to episode 24 done, attempt to make English sub for Tobot movie, attempt to make English sub for Zoids Shin Seiki Zero even if SHOPRO block said video because..."Copyright").
What am I interested in? Video games (I don't care if a video game is popular enough. If said game doesn't interest me, I'm not getting it to play it but...if the game managed to get my interest, I will use whatever method I know to get the game for me to play. As for whether the game is enjoyable or not... that will be a different matter to me and up to me to decide what to do with it afterward since the games I got are 99% from download anyway). Because I used to write back in 5th grade until now (I wish my stories got officially published like most author's. Too bad... I'm not getting anything as author in the end because mine keep getting rejected and I was given vague reason why), I'm interested in reading folklore, mythology, fantasy, mysticism, philosophy, psychology (Don't ask me why an accounting major like me love this and philosophy. The interest just struck me like lightning), basically any elements that I found as intriguing.
Even though I love Tokusatsu and Mecha, some of them didn't catch my interest. Give me any series of those two genres (And I mean....from any country too) but if I'm not interested in it after giving a quick watch, I'm not gonna continue watching it.
I hope I'm not talking too much.
