  • Second Game Crash?

Nintendo, once the company that saved gaming, is now facing backlash for filing patents that could let it claim ownership over common gameplay mechanics, sparking fears it could stifle creativity and harm both major studios and indie developers alike.

  • So… Doctor Who Just Regenerated Into Rose Tyler?

According to writer Robert Shearman, the 15th Doctor’s regeneration into Billie Piper has basically put a full stop on the entire Doctor Who story. That’s a wild way to end things if he’s right. After all these years, do you think this is a fitting way to close the loop or does it feel more like the show’s run out of ideas?

Charlie Cox confirms he is not Daredevil in Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Kevin Feige promised more separation between TV and film in the MCU and this seems to be the consequences. So, Spider-Man Brand New Day is set after Daredevil Born Again Season 2, so I thought the storylines would connect a bit. Charlie Cox, who was rumored to be in London, where Brand New Day is filming has however confirmed that he is not in the film. A Daredevil cameo is still possible, but Matt won't be fighting alongside Peter

I don’t want him in the film. He already appeared as a wonderful surprise in NWH, I think the next time we see them together it’s clear he needs to be Daredevil and I personally would love for them to maybe do a film for Daredevil and have Spider-Man be the cameo, that would be awesome. BND already seems to full and so far the rumored and confirmed characters don’t make much sense to me narrative wise, so I’m looking forward to seeing how that plays out.

The track record of Marvel giving the fans what they want hasn't been good since Endgame.I can see him not being in the movie because I'm sure people would want to see that.
I lost interest after Endgame, as well. Never really fully got back into the MCU other than the random film here and there. Doom and whatever lies beyond those films pales in comparison to the buildup of Thanos. I’m not sure they’ll ever capture that level of interest again.

My problem with the MCU since Endgame was the fact they went to checking boxes instead of trying to tell good stories. They were more worried about "The Message" political thinking that just because they made a big deal that a woman, POC, or a gay person is in the movie. Than it will automatically be a blockbuster. And we were called a bunch of names for not giving them our hard earned cash. It's the same with Star Wars.

I’m to the point where I just want new stories. Like we’ve ridden the nostalgia wave long enough. Some fresh encounters and new outcomes would be nice. The MCU doing more mature material with certain characters would likely really benefit them. I also don’t care about any of the new characters they’ve introduced post-Endgame and I feel like it’s because the storytelling has been extremely shoddy since then.

Hince my comment of checking boxes over telling good stories.
