AMA with Rippaverse's Andrew Rodriguez On 11/26 @ 1pm EST

What lessons from TV/film carry over most into comic development?

It might take some time, but Alita 2 is coming, and 3 is not off the table!

Still hopeful here, loved the first movie and I really want to see more!

There is no point in going to the theater to watch "Wake Up Dead Man," is there?

Yeah, that release strategy is wild. Dropping it on Netflix basically a week after theaters kills any sense of urgency for people to actually go see it. If I knew a movie was going to be on streaming platforms a week after theater release I would definitely just wait and save my money

An Interesting Scoop here for why Doctor Doom is in the MCU in Avengers Doomsday!

If this rumor’s legit, I get why people are side eyeing it. Doom going after Steve over an accident feels kinda small for an Avengers movie. After Thanos the bar is pretty high and this doesn’t exactly scream universe-shaking threat

I'm not for kicking a man when he is down, but then, Guillermo Del Toro's comments about the Weinstein brothers are pretty scathing!

Man, every time you think the Weinstein story can’t get any darker...jesus

What do you think about Dr. Fate appearing in Man of Tomorrow?

I’d be happy to see Brosnan come back as Fate, he was one of the few things that actually worked in Black Adam. But yeah I’m not convinced Gunn’s gonna pull characters from the old setup into his new universe. If Brainiac really is the villain, bringing in Fate would make total sense… I’m just...

It seemes we are getting an old-school ope-country shootout in Paramount and Activision's Call of Duty movie

Super excited for this! I've been playing these games for as long as I can remember so I will definitely be seeing this one

If you could only choose one, what matters most in an anime?

I picked characters. I think even if the story is good if the characters annoy me or don't feel like they have enough depth I just can't get into the show

    Frankenstein is breaking Netflix!

Yeah, it’s honestly refreshing to see something like Frankenstein take off. It’s one of those rare wins for pure creativity. Kind of nice to see people actually showing up for art that still feels handcrafted.

    Avengers:Doomsday doesn't feel special anymore

Yeah, I get that. It feels like Marvel can’t keep anything under wraps anymore, by the time the trailer drops, we already know half the plot. Kinda kills the excitement. I usually just try to ignore any mentions where I can and I just cannot watch trailers anymore, I'd rather go in blind

What exactly is special about Netflix's A House of Dynamite?

Man, I hadn’t even planned on watching it, but now I really won’t. That ending sounds brutal, two hours for nothing? I think I'll skip

Horror film about jesus makes jesus look creepy but shockingly interesting

Yeah, the trailer’s unsettling, but in the best way. It feels like they’re leaning into the psychological side of faith instead of the traditional reverence. Cage as the narrator was an unexpected choice, but it definitely fits that eerie vibe perfectly

Guillermo del Toro turns Frankenstein into the F*ck AI movie

Yeah, Del Toro’s standing his ground, and I respect that. He’s one of the few directors who still treats film like a craft instead of a content pipeline. If Frankenstein lands, it’s proof audiences still care about real artistry and not just the next algorithm-approved release.

Hey everyone, figured I’d introduce myself 👋

Figured I’d finally introduce myself! I’ve been around for a bit but mostly just reading and commenting here and there. Not here to preach or debate for the sake of it, just enjoy solid back-and-forth with people who actually care about this kind of stuff. What got you all hooked on comics in...
