Yeah, it’s starting to feel like directors are using “we only used the good AI” as a PR angle instead of actually proving anything on screen. Thoughts on Justin Lin directing the upcoming Helldivers live-action movie!
I’m split on this one. Lin can absolutely make Helldivers look huge and chaotic, which fits, but he doesn’t exactly have a reputation for restraint or satire. Definitely possible. I'm curious to see how well that would work though. Although there are many other popular animated films of course, many don't even touch the popularity of Frozen, so I'm unsure if this example could be used to justify bigger paydays for others. Paramount+ set for a price increase, but this one actually makes sense!
I definitely miss the way streaming was 10+ years ago. I remember being able to find most things that I wanted to watch on Netflix just because there were few, if any, other options. If only we could go back to the days were I didn't need to have 5 different subscriptions 😂- alexj-12

Microdramas feel like the fast-fashion version of storytelling. They’re cheap, flashy, and everywhere, but the second people actually buy in, the seams start showing.
