LA Comic-Con Is Hologramming Stan Lee… And I’m Not Sure How I Feel About It

Yeah, same. It just feels off. Like, I get wanting to honor Stan, but charging people to “talk” to an AI version of him? That’s straight-up weird. Do a tribute booth or a video montage or something, not this.

    Most Consistent Manga Art

Yeah, that’s fair. I think part of it too is how much the artist’s intent changes, like sometimes the “shift” isn’t just style drift, it’s them figuring out what they actually want the tone to be. Some series end up better because the art evolves, not in spite of it.

Dragon Ball Super vs. Z: Did the Series Peak?

That’s a fair take. Super definitely has its highs like the animation peaks, the hype moments, and the sheer scale of everything are hard to beat, but it rarely feels dangerous. In Z, every fight carried weight; even smaller arcs had real consequences. In Super, it’s more like watching gods spar...

Halloween Specials, did you have a favorite one?

Over the years there's been thousands of Halloween specials. From the early days of TV to the Munsters, to the Flintstones, to the Power Rangers, to Disney channel original movies and beyond... What were your TOP 5 favorites?

Collectibles and Toys: What’s Worth Picking Up Right Now?

I totally get that, there’s something really satisfying about hunting down retro pieces. It’s like a little treasure hunt. I’ve looked at some of the premium statues too, and yeah… the detail is insane, but the prices make me do a hard pass. I usually stick to the older stuff or current lines...

Nostalgia: Themed McDonald's Happy Meal Boxes

Do you guys remember the Back to the Future cartoon? I didn't know they had a collaboration with McDonald's!

Collab Products: THE X-MEN HAVE BEEN CANNED!

Comics and noodles, who would've guessed? Do these product collabs work? Did you consume more super villain pasta because of the X-MEN or Spider-Man?

Movies That Hit Different When You Rewatch Them

Been going through some old movies lately and they hit a lot differently than I remembered. Just rewatched The Fifth Element and the costumes, the effects, even the weird humor... it’s all still so fun and kind of wild compared to today’s stuff. What old movies do you go back to when you just...

    KFC and gaming

Has KFC's decades long effort to be the 'gamer food place' paid off? Or is this kinda cringe?

James Gunn Says Peacemaker’s Earth-X Isn’t from the Comics: Thoughts?

Wherever it's from, they have a weird idea about children's gaming...

Wait wait why did Costco remove their Xbox category?

Yep, it was a thing… and honestly, it always seemed kind of random

    Most Consistent Manga Art

True, it’s basically impossible for a shonen to stay totally consistent. Artists always shift a bit over time, it’s just how it goes.

    Pinocchio: Unstrung Childhood Nightmares, Upgraded

Honestly, it could go either way. On one hand, turning something as wholesome as Pinocchio into a horror story has some twisted potential if they actually put thought into it. On the other, it could just be another “creepy childhood thing” cash grab

Seven Sets, Four Crossovers: MTG 2026 is… something

Hey all, quick heads-up: 2026 is shaping up to be a weird one for MTG. Seven sets next year, but most are Universes Beyond crossovers: Marvel, TMNT, The Hobbit, Star Trek. Only three are actual MTG worlds. Lorwyn Eclipse drops Jan 23 to start things off. WotC says it’s a one-off, but… yeah...

What’s your current favorite manga genre?

Mine’s gotta be shonen stuff, like Magi or Blue Exorcist. I just love the crazy adventures and character development.

Sonic Team Not Interested in Adventure Remakes

So, apparently the reason we haven’t gotten Sonic Adventure remakes isn’t money or time… Sonic Team just doesn’t want to do them. Iizuka said they’d rather spend that energy making new games. SEGA could outsource it, but don’t hold your breath. So it seems like Adventure remakes are dead… for now.

The 5 Board Games That Actually Matter in the Last Decade

Okay, I should probably hop in with my top 5 too: Wingspan: Chill engine-building and gorgeous art. Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion: Tactical combat that actually feels like a story. Root: Totally different play styles for each faction, love it. Ark Nova: Heavy, but building your zoo is oddly...

    Fantastic Fest 2025: Primate

Primate is a slasher with a rabid monkey as the killer. It's gory, tense, and even kind of funny at times. Would you actually watch a horror movie where the main villain is a monkey?

The Wolverine game has med kits?

This has always been a challenge in Wolverine video games, how do you make the game a challenge when the hero can tank just about every assault thrown at him? The Superman game was plagued with this. Wolverine needing med kits is kind of strange, in the early days of gaming I would understand...
