  • Second Game Crash?

Nintendo, once the company that saved gaming, is now facing backlash for filing patents that could let it claim ownership over common gameplay mechanics, sparking fears it could stifle creativity and harm both major studios and indie developers alike.

  • So… Doctor Who Just Regenerated Into Rose Tyler?

According to writer Robert Shearman, the 15th Doctor’s regeneration into Billie Piper has basically put a full stop on the entire Doctor Who story. That’s a wild way to end things if he’s right. After all these years, do you think this is a fitting way to close the loop or does it feel more like the show’s run out of ideas?

Elon Musk's AI creates the best Sci-fi film yet

AI stuff doesn’t look good no matter how seamless it is. I thought AI would be helpful in the storyboard phase of a film to plan out how it would or should look, but that it looks like trash the longer we’re subjected to it. Is anybody willing to write something halfway decent to just end up...

Disney rejected a Star Wars film set after The Rise of Sky Walker because they didn't see how "Ben Solo" was alive

This is fine. The further away from Rise of Skywalker the better. Sucks for Adam Driver, but I’d rather see a fresh start for Star Wars and less nostalgia or rehashing of previous films.

Colman Domingo is Cowardly Lion in Wicked for Good

Probably won’t be seeing it. Couldn’t stand the first one and I don’t think the addition of any talent would sway my interest for this one.

Nolan's Batman trilogy ended kinda weird, didn't it?

It’s…not a great film. I rarely revisit it, but remember liking the opening. They had to pivot after Heath passed and it shows. It makes you wonder what could have been.

Are these the scariest horror films of all time,

So we’re just ignoring everything horror related before the mid 2000s? No. I like Talk to Me, Hereditary, Smile 2, and Sinister just fine but this list is a joke.

Friday The 13th Prequel horror series Crystal Lake on A24

Seems fine. I’d be happier if a new film was in the works though.

Charlie Cox confirms he is not Daredevil in Spider-Man: Brand New Day

He had a cameo in No Way Home already, yeah? Doing it again this soon seems a bit premature. The next time he’s in a Spider-Man film he should be teaming with him in a fight. Maybe something is planned in one of the Avengers films.

Michael B Jordan in discussion for the Oscars for Sinners

Fine by me. Sinners is rad and Michael B. Jordan is great in it.

Toy sales appear to be on the rise, is this a renaissance?

I know Dragon Ball figures and anything being shipped over from Japan is about to take a huge hit with tariffs. America likely won’t be getting anything new for a while or will be extremely hard to come by when it comes to anything that needs to be shipped overseas. I’m sure that’s affecting the...

Would you trade your collection for a grail piece?

Like my whole collection? Probably not. I’d part with certain things though. Depends on the grail and what I’d have to get rid of, honestly.

Collectibles and Toys: What’s Worth Picking Up Right Now?

I have a hard time spending over $100 on a figure even if it’s something I really want. The SH Figurarts line is a fun one, but can get pricey. Grandista is good for statues too. If you have any Ross stores near you they’re worth digging through. You can find some decent priced stuff there. I...

Funko Pop vs. vinyl designer toys: which will age better as collectibles?

I used to be die hard into Funko, but they seem so cheap now. The majority of them look so similar and are just color swapped to be a new version of something you already owned. It’s too much. The only halfway decent ones are the ones they put effort into and don’t look like carbon copies...

The Terrifier creators are taking Christmas horror to a whole new level.

This was a secret screening at this year’s Fantastic Fest. Wasn’t a fan. I feel like it’s more for fans of the franchise than anything else.

    What’s Everyone Collecting These Days?

Dragon Ball figures/statues and Godzilla figures mostly plus whatever else catches my eye. Ross has had some decent finds lately.

If you could only choose one, what matters most in an anime?

Story first then animation. Everything else is either a bonus if good or can be overlooked if they’re under par.

    What's Your Go-To Anime Recommendation?

I came in here to say Brotherhood. Probably my favorite anime title ever. I think Cowboy Bebop is great to recommend for beginners. Samurai Champloo and Space Dandy too. Golden Boy is hilarious and only six episodes. The Ghost Stories dub is unlike anything else. Start with one of those...

Torishima Thinks DB Super Is Weak… Do You Agree?

I like Super. Beerus is me of my favorite characters and the Goku Black arc is fantastic. It’s not nearly as good as Z, but enjoyable nevertheless.

Dragon Ball Super vs. Z: Did the Series Peak?

I grew up on Z, but I like the original Dragon Ball the most. Super is a ton of fun, but I like the sillier aspects of Dragon Ball over the “nobody can beat Goku” and never ending super Saiyan evolutions it becomes later. The first part of Super where Vegeta is trying to impress Beerus with...

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle: Action Or Melodrama?

I hadn’t watched any of Demon Slayer since Mugen Train when I saw this, so maybe the break helped. I love Infinity Castle, but totally understand if anyone thought the flashbacks and sentiment were a bit heavy.

The Deadpool & Wolverine vibe has faded, can Avengers: Doomsday change ANYTHING?

I’ve been burnt out on superhero stuff in general since Endgame, really. Loved Guardians 3, but even the enjoyable titles since then are kind of forgettable in the long run.
