Female villain to appear in Spider-Man Brand New Day

Now, some people are saying it is Black Cat, while others suggest Shathra, but I don't think it matters at this point, it is just awesome that the MCU is actually doing something new in a major film. Honestly, after looking at the Doomsday line up, I thought the female representation was appalling. The idea of a female big bad has renewed my interest in the film, but I still hope they don't mess up the writing and turn the film into another DEI sham

Totally get that. It’s really refreshing to see the MCU actually introducing a major female villain, no matter who it ends up being. I hear you on the Doomsday line-up; it did feel pretty lacking in representation. Fingers crossed they give her a solid story and don’t just shoehorn in “check-the-box” stuff, I could see it going either way

I’m excited that we may get another female villain, here’s hoping they are a VILLAIN and not some misunderstood character. I will say that this film seems to be getting a bit overcrowded based on the amount of rumors going around. Looks like Marvel Studios will never make a simple Spider-Man film ever again.

Same here, if they’re doing a female villain, I want her to actually be bad, not just a “trauma-explained antihero.” But yeah, the rumor pile is getting huge. Every week there’s another character or subplot supposedly showing up. At this point it feels like Marvel doesn’t know how to make a focused Spider-Man movie anymore without stuffing it full of moving pieces. But either way I'm definitely going to go see it

Same here, I think the Spider-Man films are the only thing Marvel has going for them that I’d actually want to check out, even though I’m not a fan of them casting Ruffalo in it.
