Bounding Into Halloween Honors The Sabbath On Night 5 With ‘The VVitch’ (2015) & ‘Warlock’ (1989)

Looks like I'll have to watch The VVitch on TUBI. As for Warlock, I saw it once and that was plenty. It's not a bad movie, just one I don't feel the need to watch again. Even for the time period it felt uninspired and didn't try anything terribly new. If it wasn't for Sands, I'd have likely skipped it.

If we're talking 80's horror, there are some off the top of my head I'd like to see reviews of. If only because I still can't quite wrap my head around them. Namely the Italian flicks Demons and Demons 2. So the demons are...a disease? A curse? Spirits? The movies never explain what they are or where they come from. They just show people and one dog turning into them from pricking a finger on a demon mask, being bitten by a turned human, being possessed by them through a TV screen, and the dog turning when a drop of blood gets into its mouth.

I haven't watched Warlock since the 90s. High time to break it out!
The Witch is fantastic, too. Eggers has skyrocketed to being one of my favorite directors; the only one of his contemporaries that comes (well, came) close was Ari Aster, and it seems like that guy fell off hard. Eggers hasn't missed, yet.
