$9 million for Superman, that is mad!

This is the highest amount ever paid for a comic book and I belive it cements Superman as the king of the comics. DC classics are actually very valuable, because the same record was smashed last year by Action Comics #1 at $6 million. I am still waiting for the day someone spends $100 million on a cool piece of comics though.

$9M is wild, but not surprising. Superman books are basically the blue-chip stock of comics. Prices keep climbing because people treat these issues like art pieces now. And completely agree, I'm sure we're going to see $100 million at some point

Totally agree, new records seem to be set every year at auctons. $100 million's gotta be for a super rare piece though
