I just don't see the world in which Kevin Costner passes for Bill Clinton! Side note: Does Monica Lewinsky come too?

So Kevin Costner has decided to go all political, playing Bill Clinton on a mission to East Timor in 1999 in an upcoming series. I personally think Costner should stick to Westerns, but after the failure of Horizon, I have no problem with him taking this role. The only problem here, and I think many people see it too, is that Costner just doesn't come off as the rigt person to play Bill Clinton.
Besides, we are talking actual political drama here, and I just can't see them avoiding the Lewinsky angle on this one. I'm still eager to see what they come up with, though because it sounds interesting.

Yeah, this is a wild one. Costner jumping from frontier epics to playing Bill Clinton is… not the trajectory I expected. And if the show really leans into the politics of that era, it’s gonna be messy no matter what, there’s no clean way around the Lewinsky stuff at all. Overall I'm still optimistic, but he's an interesting choice

Absolutely. I'm trying to picture Lewinsky having to give another interview and Costner having to defend another bad script. Anyway, I hope they can avoid the drama and create something solid
