79.99 to 159.99 for less content and a worse experience, just how dumb does Disney think everyone is?

First of all, is there another market Disney is operating in that we don't know about, because the last time I checked, people pay more for better content? Clearly, after the year that Disney has had, there is absolutely no incentive to pay more. Actually, after the spate of failed MCU films and shows and nothing special in Moana 2, I'd be more incentivized to cancel Disney.
From what I have read in the comments, fans are already calling for mass cancellations. I understand big films like Doomsday lined up for the new year, but they are not here yet, and there is nothing special on offer, so why hike the prices?

Yeah, the timing feels really off. It’s hard to justify a price hike when the content just hasn’t been hitting lately. You’d think they’d focus on winning people back first before asking everyone to pay more

And it is only getting to get worse because after the WB takeover, streaming options will be largely reduced to Disney and Paramount or Netflix really, all of whom are happy to increase prices at will. They just don't care about quality anymore and there won't be anyone to stop them
