I'm not sure how long it'll take, but I have to imagine at some point a new great option will come up and a lot of people will jump ship to that. Everything is so cyclical and since it feels like since we're almost going back to cable plans with bundling and the like, it's only a matter of time...
Agree. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of Frozen personally, but there's no denying the influence it's had on kids. You cannot go a single Halloween without seeing at least 15 Elsas I swear
Cameron’s acting like Netflix buying WB means theaters instantly implode, and it just doesn’t track for me. Netflix isn’t dumb, WB’s big IP needs theatrical money.
And honestly, Skydance isn’t some guardian of tradition either. Everyone’s playing the same consolidation game, not just Netflix...
I could completely see this happening. And I am all for people working within their boundaries, but at the same time I think we all need to be a little more reasonable here lol I just cannot imagine making a request like this with a straight face
Yeah, that part is wild. I get wanting your kids to have a normal childhood, but Home Alone is so unavoidable during the holidays that I find it hard to imagine that no one in the family has ever brought it up at some point
Oh wow that's great to hear actually. I was a big fan of the first movie and was really disappointed by the second, so I guess maybe now I'll actually give the third one a try
The whole “taking off your shoes for a scene” thing is completely normal in filmmaking, so treating it like some big moral line in the sand is definitely pretty ridiculous. It doesn’t signal standards, it just signals making a simple accommodation so the shot works. If anything, refusing would...
Same here. It’s nice getting a project in this universe that isn’t all tragedy and trauma for once. If HBO leans into the Dunk & Egg charm, it could end up being one of the most enjoyable things they’ve done with the franchise
$9M is wild, but not surprising. Superman books are basically the blue-chip stock of comics. Prices keep climbing because people treat these issues like art pieces now. And completely agree, I'm sure we're going to see $100 million at some point
Yeah, that’s a tough one. It’s always weird when stuff like this comes out about people you’ve watched together on screen for years. Makes it harder to separate the show from the real-life drama, even if things were cleared up. I've been seeing a lot about David Harbour lately and I'm definitely...
Yeah, Weapons really caught me off guard, I wasn’t expecting it to go that hard. Madigan absolutely owned that role and I’d be all for a prequel. It’s been a while since an indie horror stuck with me like that.
